The app and this site

Wavy: Water Conditions and wavy.day are offered by James Jobs LLC. The app is licensed, not sold. To the extent Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app you download from the App Store, those Apple terms govern that license. These terms add Wavy’s safety, data, and subscription rules. If you do not agree, do not use the app or this site.

Not for navigation

Wavy is not for navigation or safety-of-life decisions. Conditions change quickly. Station data can be delayed, missing, or distant. Official marine forecasts, charts, notices, and your own judgment stay authoritative. A go verdict is not permission to leave the dock.

Float Plan, when it is available, checks conditions along your float. The line it samples is not a safe route, a navigable course, a hazard check, or an arrival guarantee. It does not account for traffic, charts, no-wake zones, current, or how the boat actually handles. Arrival estimates use the speed you enter. “Best observed day” ranks days in available history. It is not a forecast.

Public data and cameras

Observations and forecasts come from NOAA and the National Weather Service. Wavy gives those agencies attribution and does not speak for them. Nothing on this site or in the app is a government endorsement.

Cameras marked as deep links open on the source’s site under that source’s terms. Wavy does not embed, proxy, analyze, or archive those feeds. NOAA BuoyCAM history is limited to an allowlist, keeps NOAA attribution, and may retain images for 30 days.

Wavy+

Wavy+ is the planned auto-renewable subscription. It is not on sale. This page does not state a price, a free trial, or a billing period length beyond the product names prepared in App Store Connect: a monthly product and an annual product in the Wavy+ group. Before any purchase, the app and Apple’s payment sheet will show the length, the price, and what is included.

The intended split is that the core verdict and official advisories stay free, and Wavy+ covers custom alerts, extended history, BuoyCAM history, and Float Plan. That split is not a live offer until the products are priced and the app says so.

When a subscription is sold through Apple: payment is charged to your Apple ID; the subscription renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Family Sharing follows Apple’s rules only if it is enabled for Wavy+ at the time of sale. Restoring purchases is available from Settings in the app.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, probe it in order to disrupt it, or present Wavy’s output as an official forecast or as navigation guidance. The API that shields public weather sources is for the app, not a general data license.

The app and this site are provided as available. James Jobs LLC disclaims warranties to the extent the law allows, including warranties of accuracy, availability, and fitness for a particular trip. Wavy is not liable for decisions you make on the water. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers; in those places, the disclaimer applies only as far as the law allows.

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing-law place], excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where Apple’s license terms or a consumer law that cannot be waived say otherwise.
