Wavy combines public observations and forecast guidance with its own boating summaries. Check timestamps and official advisories. Wavy is not endorsed by these providers and is not for navigation.
Know what you are reading
Observations are measurements at a particular station and time. Forecasts describe expected conditions; models are guidance rather than measurements. Wavy’s summaries and comfort windows are its own interpretation. None of these guarantees conditions at a launch, along a route or later in the day.
Coverage varies by harbor, season and source availability. A nearby station may not measure waves, and an open-lake buoy can differ from sheltered water. Check each reading’s source, age and distance. Lake levels and river stages are not navigable depths. Missing or stale data is a reason to check another official source before heading out.

Independent external sources
Wavy 1.0 shows credited NOAA BuoyCAM and GLERL still images in the app. Other webcams are links to the provider’s own page, opened in an in-app Safari view. Wavy does not play, embed, copy, cache or rebroadcast those feeds or display their thumbnails. The provider’s terms and privacy policy apply on its site. A link does not imply a partnership, endorsement or permission to reuse content. Local feed imagery can be delayed or unavailable, and does not establish safe conditions. Photography
Great Lakes scenes bundled in the app have individual creator, source and rights records. In Wavy, open Settings → Sources & licences → Great Lakes photo credits to see those records. A data licence does not automatically permit reuse of a provider’s photographs, video or logo.
